Fix Invalid IP Config 169.254.X.X Wi-Fi/Ethernet

Invalid IP Config or Wi-Fi/Ethernet doesn't have a valid IP configuration is a problem that arises because the IP address on our computer doesn't get the IP address from the DHCP server. It occurs because of a conflict between IP computers that are connected to the same network, so we will change the IP address from dynamic IP to static IP, to do that we have to know which IP address ranges are available.

The IP Address that you get 169.254.x.x is a private IP Address that you obtained from microsoft because DHCP doesn't provide you an IP Address so microsoft will automatically provide a temporary IP Address. Do not worry, this method is guaranteed to work. Okay we will change the adapter configuration from Dynamic IP to Static IP, please read carefully.

The Steps to Resolve the Error "Doesn't have a valid IP Configuration" :

1. Go to "Control Panel" and click on "Network and Sharing Center".

2. Click on "Change adapter settings" and right click on "Wi-Fi/Local Area Connection/Ethernet" you're using then click "Properties".

3. Click "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)" and click "Properties"

4. Change "Obtain an IP Address automatically" to "Use the following IP Address" and you can fill in,

• IP Address : 192.168.1.X, you can replace X with the numbers 1 - 10 or more that are in the range
• Subnet Mask : 255.255.255.0, generally use this subnet
• Default Gateway : 192.168.1.1, generally use this subnet
• For DNS it's up to you, you can use google DNS : 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 or keep it empty

5. You can click "Ok" and "Ok" then restart your computer

6. Okay we're done, good luck!

Note :
